It is a valuable and small book published in Paris by Denis Roce in 1499 with this beautiful motto at the printers device: L" AVENTURE TOUT VIENT A POINT QUI PEUT ATTENDRE [The adventure all comes to a point that it can wait].

Guillaume Houppelande was professor at Paris circa 1450-1457 and the first edition of this work was printed in Paris in 1491.

The copy presents a 19th Century ownership ex-libris belonging to the Bishop of Portsmouth.
