Outras fotografias mostram o trânsito e o movimento quotidiano da cidade de Paris nos cruzamentos das suas grandes avenidas com os boulevards, como é o caso do Boulevard de la Madelaine e o cruzamento do Boulevard des Capucins junto à Ópera.

As avenidas mostram o movimento de veículos particulares e públicos, como por exemplo as paragens e terminais de carruagens e dos omnibus puxados por cavalos, entre os quais o serviço de Omnibus Imperial de 2 andares, típico desta época, que faziam o serviço entre Passy-Bourse, Place Wagram-Bastille e Place Maine-Gare du Nord, Madeleine-Bastille, entre outros destinos, tal como indicam algumas fotos.

Referimos também a importância histórica destas fotografias por terem sido tomadas como instantâneos ('snapshots') da vida quotidiana de Paris, mostrando os seus habitantes dirigindo-se para as suas tarefas com os seus vestuários e as suas atitudes informais.

Nestas fotografias aparecem nitidamente os letreiros das casas comerciais, os anúncios nos edifícios, e os anúncios nos veículos puxados por cavalos - (alguns circulam expressamente como anúncios móveis) - permitindo uma futura investigação e datação com precisão desta série fotográfica.

As referências existentes sobre estes álbuns e estas fotografias são muito escassas e, passados cem anos, existem alguns centros de investigação - como por exemplo na Brown University - que realizam recolhas baseadas nestas fontes visuais.

Other photos show the traffic and the daily buzz of the city of Paris in the intersections of its avenues with the boulevards, like the Boulevard de la Madelaine and the intersection of the Boulevard des Capucins near the Opera.

The avenues show the traffic of private and public transportation, like the carriages stops and terminals, and the horse carriages, among which the Imperial Omnibus service, with two floors, typical of the time, and that usually served between Passy-Bourse, Place Wagram-Bastille and Place Maine-Gare du Nord, Madeleine-Bastille, among other destinations, like is shown in some of the photos.

We also point out the historical importance of these photos, since they are snapshots of the daily life in Paris, showing its inhabitants doing their daily tasks, with their normal clothes and informal behaviour.

In these pictures the signs of the stores are clearly shown, as well as the advertisements in the buildings, and the publicity in the horse carriages – some circulate specifically as mobile publicity – allowing a future research and precise dating of this photo series.

The existing references to these albums are very scarce and, after one hundred years, there are some research centres, like the Brown University, that collect data based on these visual sources.
