Exemplar com vários títulos de posse manuscritos da época nas folhas de guarda, nomedamente "Johannes Abraham Brögelmann de Yuris Civilis Liber est P[r]ofessor" e outros títulos manuscritos no encabeçamento da folha de rosto, rasurados e ilegíveis, sem afectar o conteúdo gráfico.

Bíblia calvinista, apresentando uma excelente impressão em letras microscópicas, com um arranjo gráfico em duas dimensões tipográficas: uma para o texto e outra para os comentários. Novo Testamento, impresso em Genebra, com comentários de Thèodore de Bèze. 

Teodoro de Bèze (Vézelay, 1519- Genève, 1605) foi um humanista e teólogo protestante, tradutor da Bíblia, professor, embaixador e poeta. Bèze foi porta-voz da Reforma no colóquio de Poissy e depois durante as guerras religiosas. Foi o chefe incontestado da causa da reforma na Europa e sucessor de Jean Calvin na direcção da Academia de Genéva.

Copy with printer’s device on frontispiece and several handwritten ownership titles on the endpapers, namely "Johannes Abraham Brögelmann de Yuris Civilis Liber est P[r]ofessor", and other handwritten title on top of title page, erased and unreadable, not affecting graphic contents.

This a Calvinist Bible with an excellent print of microscopic characters with a graphic layout in to typographic dimensions: one for the text, another for the comments. New Testament printed in Geneva with comments by Thèodore de Bèze. 

Teodoro de Bèze (Vézelay, 1519- Geneva, 1605) was a Protestant humanist and theologian, translator of the Bible, teacher, ambassador and poet. Bèze was the spokesman of the Reformation at the Colloquium of Poissy and later during the religious wars. He was the undisputable leader of Reformation in Europe and the successor of John Calvin as head of the Geneva Academy.
