Esta parte apresenta-se nas páginas com números romanos. As páginas com números árabes elencam, por ordem alfabética, as famílias nobres existentes em toda a Europa, incluindo informações rigorosas sobre cada uma, de forma sucinta e clara, tal como a ascendência, as datas de concessão dos títulos e outras honrarias, a identificação do representante da família à data de edição dos volumes, a lista dos títulos que representava e a respectiva morada.

The first volume includes the families registered from  January to June of 1978; the second those registered from July to December  1978; the third, from January to October 1979; the fourth, from November  1979 to December 1980; the fifth, Between January 1981 to December 1982; the sixth between January 1983 to February 1985; and the seventh, from March 1985 to May 1992. Each volume contains indexes of collaborators, their own indexes, and the 7th volume contains indexes of all the volumes.

A valuable work gathering lots of information on all the European noble families, about nobility, and about the legal status of the nobles in each country.

It includes a general introduction; studies on the nobility of each country; studies on the royal families of each country in great detail, including a general history of each branch and biographies of each member; comprehensive bibliographies; and list of abbreviations. This part in printed on the pages numbered with Roman numerals. The pages with Arabic numerals catalogue, in alphabetical order, the noble families all over Europe, including accurate information on each, in a concise and clear way, as for instance the dates of granting the titles and other honours, the identification of the representative of  the family at the time of the edition, the list of the titles they represented and their addresses.

The Portuguese royal family is studied on the second volume by Joseph Valynseele and the Portuguese nobility on the third volume by Luiz Bivar Guerra.
